I had a sound design session and at the end i rendered out the whole messy file, ran it through 3 otts, some reverb and delay and basically got an awesome spooky and unsettling atmosphere. Feel free to use it in your projects!.

Got a can of sriracha peas for my birthday. Accidentally plucked the pull-tab. Sounded good. Made everyone pause what was on tv so i could pluck it a bunch. Ate about 3-4 peas. I don't like sriracha. Much less on dry peas. My stomach got upset. Those few peas colored my burps for about an hour. The can lid was the real present all along. Incidentally captured: chair squeaks (funnily in time with the plucking), "hurry up", "(he's) documenting the sound", chuckling, "is that good enough?".

In the "word association game" (on this forum) i wrote mangle, as word no 2795. I zoomed in to my post. Made a screen dump. Cropped out “2795 – mangle”. Saved as a monochrome bitmap. Opened in audacity as raw data. Applied paulstretch. Got this swoosh-sound. Let me know if you use it :-).

A sound from 2006 i created and found on one of my old dvd's with this new external dvd drive i just got in from ups. Pretty nice modulation if you ask me. I forgot how i made this sound.

I made noise with my teeth hopefully it sounds like its a squish or squirt that was what i was going for. It was created on audacity with my blue yeti microphone. It was done at home i simply pushed my tongue against my teeth simple and got really close to the mic. You don't have to do this, but i would like for you to tell me what its being used for if its not too much trouble.

I recorded my voice while playing freelance horror games; scp-087-b and slender sanatorium. This was so i could get genuine reactions to use as stock voice clips for future use. Some pretty interesting stuff came out. Used my "stay still!" clip in my mod, and it kept shouting it at me until i got far enough away from it.

The title was what i told him. It wasn't that recent and nobody really got hurt, so why agonize? it was supposed to be just beer and chips i was serving. Shouldn't have ever repeated. In short: for a horror game when a monster spots the player. I made it so that it would "turn on" when the monster spots the player in a horror game i was working on, i got bored and deleted the game. I guess you can use it for a similar purpose. It's very trash but it's the first audio i've ever made, plus i had a "crazy weird insanity" audio in mind, so it kinda fits what i wanted.

Recorded at a bus stop, so few times buses stop and open their doors with some squeals. I used my edirol r-09hr and got most out of it, so the recording is 96khz 24bit.

After checking my mail i was walking back to the house and heard this plane approaching. I always carry my yamaha pocketrak and got it going just in time to catch this low flyover. It actually reminded me of a warplane flying over. I also left in the wind sounds that sort of sound like distant artillery. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

I have a large hound dog with long, heavy ears and he did the dog head-shake. I was trying to get a howl. He saw the microphone and of course, got quiet. And shook his head. It's a fairly unique sound. Please suggest what else it could represent, if you have any ideas.

Hello, this is my first ever sound effect on this website, recently i just got a hair dryer, so i decided to make a sound by recording it and posting it here because why not?. Notice: you must credit and link this sound while using it, it is a free to use sound, but be sure to credit me.

This is a looping sound effect. Timing got screwy while making it so i dont have a bpm or even a time sig. Made it with an old yamaha synth and a mac. Makes me kind of nervlous when i lissen to it so it might work good whe you wanna confuze somebody or make them cautious.

Recorded with sanken css-5 microphone and sound devices 552 recorder. This is m-s microphone, that have its own decoding matrix with 2 variants - normal and wide. I had choose wide mode and directed the mic in the ground, and i got this interesting effect with accented sides.

I was just messing around in audacity, doing some things with a party noise maker sound effect, i slowed it down, put some reverb & echo, messed with the pitch a little bit, and got this! it's supposed to be kinda like "trumpets in the sky" and/or war of the worlds inspired.

I have created this bass out of my voice, it is pretty rough for ears if you have got a good headphones or repro. I had to widen it and make it sound more dynamically. Enjoy!.

I recorded this using my sony cyber-shot camera. All i did was just play around in the sink and got some sounds from pulling the plug a few times to get some gurgling sounds and such. Hope this is useful!.

I took a clip from the audio i recorded of wax paper crinkling, cut a segment from it, played it backwards, put it on loop, layered it with the original, and this is what i got. There is an somewhat syncopated pattern to the sounds, but the audio is cut off before it makes a full cycle. Enjoy.

This time i promised my self to make my cuts more musical, you guys know, good outside (or) inside recording can be esthetic in many ways. When you walk around and listen carefully, you can hear music everywhere. When i got home i began chopping, an then i realized i could turn this mini recording session into some cool loops as well. I think its a good way of practicing sound design(or anything musically), to just limit your self some times. Basically got the idea when i was studying musique concréte. (concrete music). Could upload the samples if some one is interested?. I used no effects at all, no panning (stereo recordings) or no limiters/compressors. Some of the recording where made by using binaural microphones. I recorded everything with my zoom h4.

Boink. These are part of a set of "boink" samples i made using a nord micromodular randomly fming to itself. They're really useful for minimal or glitchy techno and tech house. Re-mixed and done by down-loading and enhancing the sounds. . . Starvolt is where i got it, so the name says it all. It's really more useful to drop in raw with the softer version, as i have turned the vol up.
